World champion Amy Wall recently made history at the European Olympic Games when she became the very first Irish kickboxing athlete to win a gold medal under the coveted Olympic rings.
Amy, who is currently coached by Jon Mackey, travelled to the European Games which was held in Krakow, Poland as part of a 9 strong kickboxing team in June this year.
Amy who qualified for the Games through the WAKO European championships which was held in Turkey in 2022, entered the European Games with plenty of confidence after having a very successful preparation programme, winning gold medals at the Turkish and Austrian World Cups earlier in the year.
Amy fought through three tough sections taking victories against Hungary, Poland and beating a strong Norwegian fighter in the final.
